Madiba's love for art and drawing started on the walls of her childhood home. This ardour was later transferred to paper, canvas and art classes and after completing High School, Madiba enrolled as an Interior Design Student at the Design School of Southern Africa. It was during her years of studies that she fell in love with wood and discovered the art of pyrography. In her words, “Pyrography is my medium of choice because I feel it creates synergy between my materials and subject matter”.

Madiba has been part of various group exhibitions and is also part of the Design Indaba Emerging Creatives 2019. She is currently completing her studio residency with Blessing Ngobeni at Victoria Yards.
